“God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.” - Jesus

The world had been turned right side up. News all over Jerusalem had quickly spread Jesus was no longer in the grave. Jesus walks with two men as they leave Jerusalem, “And beginning at Moses and all the Prophets, He expounded to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning Himself.” (Luke 24:27). Shortly after we find Jesus with the disciples allowing them to touch His hands and feet. What else does Jesus do? “Then He said to them, “These are the words which I spoke to you while I was still with you, that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the Law of Moses and the Prophets and the Psalms concerning Me.” And He opened their understanding, that they might comprehend the Scriptures.” Luke 24:44-45

Both times Jesus was present He also ministered using Scripture. Yes, we worship in Spirit AND we worship in truth. It’s important to raise our hands and voices in worship AND it’s important to sit at His feet in His Word and worship. Church, we worship in Spirit and Truth. Let’s daily lift our voices and worship Jesus. Let’s daily sit before Him in prayer and His Word. At home, on the way to work, during the workday, at home with family, and at the end of our day. Let’s worship church!
