Let's rejoice!

Jesus sends out a larger group of followers to minister the gospel. He gives them instructions on what to do, where to stay, and how to minister. It's pretty cut and dry. Similar to how we are to minister the gospel in these days.

The seventy return and are joyful of some of the miraculous things they have done in Jesus' name. He reminds them though, "Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rather rejoice because your names are written in heaven."" Luke 10:20

To be honest I forget this often. I can find myself rejoicing at the miraculous (which we very well should be), but I forget about how special it is Jesus has saved me. I forget to rejoice in how He has saved others as well. The most miraculous thing Jesus will ever do for any of us is taking a sinful person and making them righteous and holy in Jesus. What a thing to rejoice in today, tomorrow, and for the rest of our time on earth. Are you rejoicing right now in your salvation? You should be. It's wonderful for sure!
