Who or what is leading you?
Gideon battles thru with 300 men. He meets opposition from other tribes and cities. And with each opposition he becomes more confident of the Lord's leading and victory. After subduing the Midianites, "Then the men of Israel said to Gideon, "Rule over us, both you and your son, also your son's son, for you have delivered us from the hand of Midian."" Judges 8:22
"But Gideon said to them, "I will not rule over you, nor shall my son rule over you; the Lord shall rule over you."" Judges 8:23
This! This here is truth. Are you a leader? This is what you should be saying, "the Lord shall rule over you". Are you looking for a leader? This is what you should be about, the Lord ruling over you. Leadership is a good thing but it should always point people to the main thing, being led by the Father, Jesus, and Holy Spirit. Let's submit to one another as the church and for spiritual encouragement but let our thought and spiritual process be for the Lord to speak to us and lead us. There's no greater leader than the Lord Himself. With each battle and victory let the Lord become more and more of who you depend on. Who or what is leading you?
