Who or what is your king?

"In those days there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes." Judges 21:25

This phrase is repeated in 17:6, 18:1, 19:1, and 21:25. Reading thru Judges we see the effect of people doing what's right in their own eyes.

We see the effects when we do what's right in our own eyes and the world does what's right in their own eyes today as well.

It's a sad state. Evil runs rampant. Hurt and pain are amplified. We have to ask ourselves who is the king of our heart? Who or what are we allowing to lead us? Being king of our own hearts will always let us down but submitting to the King will make a world of difference.
