"Do you not know that the Philistines are rulers over us? What then is this that you have done to us?" Judges 15:11
How far Israel had fallen. God had given them land. Strengthened them to overcome all their enemies yet now they talk about the Philistines ruling over them. They continued poor decisions for years. They rejected the Lord and the fruit of that showed.
"Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart" Ps 37:4
This is a wonderful verse we can be thankful to the Father for, but it's also dangerous. The Lord will give you the desires of your heart, but what are those desires? Israel had desires that left them desolate and wanting. In the same way the Lord will give the desires of our heart to you and me. I encourage you, "Delight yourself in the Lord; And He will give you the desires of your heart"
