Help us to follow Your will. Give us a steadfast heart in loving and serving You, Father. I understand You use everything but I pray we make wise, loving, and selfless decisions. Strengthen us Holy Spirit and give us the heart and mind of Jesus. Amen!
Reading thru Judges 14 we see a man bent on doing things his way, at his time. Does the Lord still use Samson? Absolutely, but the journey was much harder on Samson than it had to be. "Then his father and his mother said to him, "Is there no woman among the daughters of your relatives, or among all our people, that you go to take a wife from the uncircumcised Philistines?" But Samson said to his father, "Get her for me, for she looks good to me."" Judges 14:3
Later, even though Samson had taken a Nazarite vow he eats honey stuck in a rotting corpse. He even shares with his parents. There's no thought of how this honors or dishonors the Lord. What about you, do you make decisions based on whether they honor the Lord or not? The Lord's will, will be done regardless, but making decisions that honor Him should be our heart. Anything other should bring us back to the feet of Jesus asking to be strengthened in Him.
