Division doesn't strengthen.

"Then the men of Ephraim were summoned, and they crossed to Zaphon and said to Jephthah, "Why did you cross over to fight against the sons of Ammon without calling us to go with you? We will burn your house down on you."" Judges 12:1

Israel had just won a battle. It was obvious the Lord was with them. This victory strengthened the whole nation of Israel yet the Ephraimites were angry they weren't involved. They were angry they didn't get some of the credit for the victory.

When you see someone succeed or given victory are you happy for them? Do you appreciate the Lord's work in their life? We need to check our hearts this morning. Division doesn't bring strength it grows weakness in relationships, marriages, and in the church. Be happy for others when the Lord brings them victory. Give encouragement when your spouse has a victory, Be excited when other church communities are leading others to Christ or excelling in seeing the kingdom grow big. Let's not let division be the downfall today! Jesus prayed, "that they may all be one; even as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me." John 17:21
