God wants to hear from you!

Elihu continues in his rebuttal of Job: "There they cry out, but He does not answer, Because of the pride of evil men. Surely God will not listen to empty talk, Nor will the Almighty regard it." Job 35:12-13

The Bible is rich with prayers and conversations with God. The Psalms, in particular, overflow with heartfelt prayers-some humble, others marked by pride or misunderstanding of God's character. Imprecatory psalms like Psalms 5, 6, and 58 call for God's judgment, curses, or vengeance on enemies. At times, our prayers may not align with God's heart, just as some prayers in Scripture reflect human imperfection.

Yet, God desires to hear from us. As we seek Him, even with words that may seem misguided, He ministers to our hearts. Nothing in our lives-our struggles or our prayers-goes unused by God for our good and His glory. Be encouraged to call out to Him! Trust that He will gently correct your heart, even when your words don't fully reflect His nature. Be honest before the Lord, relying on the Holy Spirit's transformative work within you.

When was the last time you sat before God and poured out your heart? Let today be that day!
