Yes Chef!
Job endured unimaginable tragedies. Despite the intense dialogue with his friends over days and weeks, the wounds from his losses and his friends' harsh accusations were still fresh. You can feel the rawness in his response.
Yet, in his pain, Job declares, "As long as my breath is in me, And the breath of God in my nostrils, My lips will not speak wickedness, Nor my tongue utter deceit. Far be it from me That I should say you are right; Till I die I will not put away my integrity from me. My righteousness I hold fast, and will not let it go; My heart shall not reproach me as long as I live." Job 27:3-6
Job's confidence wasn't in himself but in the work God had done in and through him. The accusations, the suffering, and the chaos couldn't shake his trust in who God is or what God had accomplished in his life.
Here's our reminder today: He's not done yet. As Paul wrote, "Being confident of this, that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." Phil 1:6
Be confident like Job even when it seems chaotic. Here's your reminder for today: Keep marinating in that good work Jesus started in you. Let Jesus cook! Yes Chef!
