Isaiah writes in chapter 65 about the people's rebellion, the remnant who worships the Lord, and the Lord's redemption throughout it all.
What a good time to pray.
Consider the words of the Lord: "I have stretched out My hands all day long to a rebellious people, Who walk in a way that is not good, According to their own thoughts; A people who provoke Me to anger continually to My face; Who sacrifice in gardens, And burn incense on altars of brick;" Isaiah 65:2-3
Father, show us any rebellion we have in our hearts. Help us to come humbly before You. We need Your leading. Today, I just yield my heart to You afresh in how I look on life and my relationship with others. Expose sin in our lives, and lead us to be more dependent on You. In Jesus name, Amen!
There is redemption even in the most desperate situations, the darkest moments, and the deepest sins. For all who call on the name of the Lord will be saved.
His hands are still stretched out.
May we be found in repentance, not rebellion. Today, let us look afresh at the holiness and justice of the Lord and respond accordingly.
