Oh yeah, you are called!

Isaiah is not written in chronological order, so in chapter 6 we see God's calling on Isaiah's life and his response to it.

"So I said: "Woe is me, for I am undone! Because I am a man of unclean lips, And I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips; For my eyes have seen the King, The Lord of hosts." Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having in his hand a live coal which he had taken with the tongs from the altar. And he touched my mouth with it, and said: "Behold, this has touched your lips; Your iniquity is taken away, And your sin purged." Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying: "Whom shall I send, And who will go for Us?" Then I said, "Here am I! Send me." Isaiah 6:5-8

We may overuse the word "calling" in church culture today, but let me assure you: you are called. Let's not confuse calling with position. No matter where you are in life right now, the Lord wants to use you for His glory.

Isaiah didn't feel worthy. Truthfully, none of us are. Yet that has never stopped God from cleansing, restoring, and calling people to Himself. Our story is greater than our own lives. It's His story being told through us. You carry within you the greatest news and the greatest grace ever given to mankind.

The calling on your life is not merely to a position, but to a lifestyle. In every circumstance, the Lord is willing and able to work in and through you. We are all going to spend our days living for something why not let it be sharing the good news of Christ in the way we live, love, and walk?
