Don't sell yourself short!
Isaiah is ministering about the redemption of Jerusalem. As we read and study Scripture, one of the greatest things we can do is look for the character of the Lord.
Isaiah writes: "For thus says the Lord: "You have sold yourselves for nothing, And you shall be redeemed without money."" Isaiah 52:3
Like Jerusalem, we often sell ourselves short. The Lord desires so much more for us. His plans are greater, and true abundance is found only in Him. Yet we settle for less. We chase temporary satisfaction and allow the noise of the world to drown out the truth of God. In the end, what we choose never compares to what the Lord longs to give.
Our redemption is found in Jesus.
The value of something is revealed by what someone is willing to pay for it. As Isaiah continues, he points us to the price that would be paid for our redemption. Your worth is not found in your gifts, your accomplishments, or your performance. It is found in your Savior, and the price He was willing to pay for you.
So don't sell yourself short today, tomorrow, or the next. Look to the Lord for your fulfillment. True worth is only found in the One who gives it.
