Isaiah was one of that later voices ministering to Israel before their final downfall into captivity. For decades and decades God had sent prophets to warn Israel of consequences of their continual sin and rebelliousness.
How long does it take to yield to the voice of God? For Israel, even for us, no matter the blessing or the difficulties of life it seemed hard to receive. Yet, Isaiah reminded Israel, and us today, there would be a future time for those who seek after Him of God's total provision. Isaiah writes, "then the Lord will create above every dwelling place of Mount Zion, and above her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day and the shining of a flaming fire by night. For over all the glory there will be a covering." Isaiah 4:5
Our hearts can run cold at times. We allow life to harden our hearts and turn our gaze away from the Lord. The Lord uses people, His Word, and His presence to remind us of His provision and grace. Today, turn your heart, mind, and soul to love the Lord. He has provided, is providing, and one day rule and reign in a new earth and heaven.
