“Therefore strengthen the hands which hang down, and the feeble knees, and make straight paths for your feet, so that what is lame may not be dislocated, but rather be healed.” Hebrews 12:12-13
In the chapter before we read about the faith of those who walked before us. They kept the faith enduring tragedies and difficulties during their life. Then Jesus did the same enduring the cross and despising the shame (verse 2). We each have our own race to run (verse 1). Life is going to throw punches that take our breath away. Other times, as sons and daughters, we will be chastened (verse 7-11) and it will be painful.
This is Scripture people… it really says that… read it… it’s okay though because it will yield peacefully fruit. Good things will come of it. Look to it with joy and hope knowing through pressure and heat there is coming a greater potency of love, grace, and mercy in your life and mine.
Come on, let the Father remove things that aren’t for your edification, others edification, and His glory. Let the extreme pressure and high heat do a deep work in your heart, “For our God is a consuming fire.” Hebrews 12:29
Father, I pray. Consume me! I am sorry I let other things than You consume me at times. Things that aren’t good for my soul. Continue to work in me to get rid of those mindsets and strongholds. I want more of You. Thank you, for working in my heart. I yield to you afresh. In Jesus name, AMEN.
