We pray. The Father answers.

As Habakkuk closes after his questions and the Lord's answer he prays, "Lord, I have heard the report about You and I fear. O Lord, revive Your work in the midst of the years, In the midst of the years make it known; In wrath remember mercy." Hab 3:2

He prayed for revival. He asked for mercy even though wrath was deserved. He recognized his unworthiness.

Habakkuk writes in 17-18, "Though the fig tree should not blossom And there be no fruit on the vines, Though the yield of the olive should fail And the fields produce no food, Though the flock should be cut off from the fold And there be no cattle in the stalls, Yet I will exult in the Lord, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation."

Today, the church meets in places all over the nation, even the world. Would we pray for revival in our hearts? Would we pray for the Lord to revive us and those around us? Even in the midst of destruction would we "Exalt the Lord and rejoice in His salvation"?

Gypsy Smith said, "Find a piece of chalk and find an empty room. Go into that room and shut the door. Draw a circle on the floor with that chalk, kneel down in that circle, and ask God to start revival right there."
