First, the flood really happened. Jesus (Matt 24:37:39), Peter (1 Pet 3:20), Isaiah (Is 54:9), Ezekiel (Eze 14:14), and God (since He spoke thru the prophets) spoke of Noah and the flood happening. Always look to the Bible to be proof of truth.

The world was overtaken by wickedness. Noah was different. "Then the Lord said to Noah, "Enter the ark, you and all your household, for you alone I have seen to be righteous before Me in this time." Gen 7:1

This week the church discussed Jesus commanding us to be the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Jesus said, "Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Matt 5:16

Noah did what Jesus says for us to do. Because of Noah humanity remained. Salt preserves and light provides truth. Every day, we're given the opportunity to bring loving truth and preserve righteousness where we live, work, and hang. Loving people and loving God goes further than we could ever imagine. Noah had no clue at the moment his obedience would be so fruitful. Neither do we. Today, let's love God and love people for His glory and let the Lord handle the rest.
