Do you want to, or have you heard from the Lord?

Jacob (Israel) hears about his son being alive. "So Israel set out with all that he had, and came to Beersheba, and offered sacrifices to the God of his father Isaac." Gen 46:1

His first decision? Let's worship the Lord. Let's spend time with the Lord. And the Lord responded, "God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, "Jacob, Jacob." And he said, "Here I am." He said, "I am God, the God of your father; do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you a great nation there. I will go down with you to Egypt, and I will also surely bring you up again; and Joseph will close your eyes."" Gen 46:2-4

His decision was easy to make. We would all want to go see our son. But he first worshiped and prayed.

The Lord is faithful. He speaks. He leads. He guides. He directs. All we need to do is go before Him like Israel did. This is something I'm on a continuous journey to do more. To talk to the Lord and seek the Holy Spirit BEFORE I move forward.

He packed. He was ready but he went to the Lord before he was all in. Will you do the same? Will I do the same? Let's be people who seek the Lord first!
