You hurting? Maybe so, but it doesn't stop this...

Joseph had been thrown into a pit by his brothers. He was hated, betrayed, and subjected to slavery to name some of what he experienced. Yet in this chapter we see forgiveness expressed in a deep way.

Don't overlook Joseph had hurt in his life. Gen 43:30 says, "Joseph hurried out for he was deeply stirred over his brother, and he sought a place to weep; and he entered his chamber and wept there." This wasn't the first time he wept dealing with his brothers and it won't be the last, but it's not stopping him from forgiveness.

I'm not making light of anyone's past. There are hurts and pains in all of our pasts, but it doesn't or shouldn't stop our willingness to forgive. At the end of the day no matter what has been done or is being done we can still forgive. It's our decision. We can choose!

The Father has chosen to forgive all our sins, ALL! As we remember all we've been forgiven it should propel us to forgive much. What are you holding on to the Lord is saying lay down? Let's not let offenses get in the way of Christ's love and forgiveness. Which is more powerful in your life: Offense or forgiveness?
