God is faithful, even when we are faithless. Why? Because His faithfulness is based upon who He is. 2 Timothy 2:13 says, “If we are faithless, He remains faithful; He cannot deny Himself.”

We live in an “instantaneous” world. Commercials, billboards, and ads on your social media timelines say to you and me, ‘you need this now it will make your life better’. Do you know what that does to your soul? It teaches us the opposite of biblical principles. “Wait on the LORD; Be of good courage, And He shall strengthen your heart; Wait, I say, on the LORD!” Psalms 27:14

Do you remember what the Lord spoke to Joseph many years before this moment? Joseph tells his brothers his first dream in Genesis 37:6-7, “So he said to them, “Please hear this dream which I have dreamed: There we were, binding sheaves in the field. Then behold, my sheaf arose and also stood upright; and indeed your sheaves stood all around and bowed down to my sheaf.””

We know Joseph was a teenager when he had the dream, from Genesis 41:46 we know Joseph was 30 when he stood before Pharaoh... so @17 years passed before the fulfillment of God’s word to him. Here are a couple other examples:

- The time between David being anointed king and becoming king was 25 years, during that time he was hunted by Saul.

- The time between Paul at Damascus until he started his ministry was 7+ years.

There are often times between the word of God until the fulfillment of that word. To wait on the Lord is such an important thing to do. Maybe, the Lord has spoken something over your life, and it is yet to come to pass. ‘Wait I say on the Lord’!

The Lord was refining and equipping Joseph, the Lord is refining and equipping you and me. Do not lose heart, don’t allow the bombardment of the world to speak an instantaneous mindset over you. The Lord’s timing is always best.

Read back over those Scriptures, His word to Joseph came to pass exactly how he said it. The situation dealt with sheaves (food) the reason they came, and they did exactly what was spoken over Joseph, they bowed before him. The Lord’s words always come to pass.

He is faithful. What He says comes to pass. How He says it will take place, unfolds as He said it. For He is faithful. ‘Wait I say on the Lord!’
