God is still God even in the wait!

"Now it happened at the end of two full years that Pharaoh had a dream, and behold, he was standing by the Nile." Gen 41:1

Pharaoh's cupbearer and baker were thrown into prison and Joseph interpreted their dreams. He asked the cupbearer to remember he was restored. After two years have passed the cupbearer remembers Joseph. He is brought before Pharaoh to interpret his dream. Joseph says, "It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh a favorable answer." Gen 41:16

Joseph is promoted to second in charge of Egypt. That's a big leap from being just out of prison, but he waited for two years. He didn't grow bitter, angry, or mad. He continued to serve God in the difficult times and waited on the Lord's timing.

We could be tempted to be angry because we don't understand at times, but Joseph didn't... and we shouldn't either. God is good even in our darkest days. Even when things are most difficult, we need to allow God's character and promises to be where we put our hope, where we put our faith. "Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen." Heb 11:1
