Father, help us to receive from Your Word and Spirit. Give us ears to hear and hearts to discern to apply the sayings You share while we're still before You. Teach us. In Jesus name, Amen
How quickly things transpire. The 1st sin just took place and now the first murder as Cain kills Abel.
Reading through the first genealogy we see, "Adah gave birth to Jabal; he was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock. His brother's name was Jubal; he was the father of all those who play the lyre and pipe. As for Zillah, she also gave birth to Tubal-cain, the forger of all implements of bronze and iron; and the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah." Gen 4:20-22
Adah led others in living nomadic/caring for livestock. Jubal led people in playing instruments. Tubal-Cain lead in metal work. These men used their giftings to influence others. How are you using your gifts? What are you teaching others w/your actions or words? Your spouse, kids, and those around you are learning from you. Each generation teaches the next, good or bad. Let's teach calling out to the Lord like in the time of Enosh, "Then men began to call upon the name of the Lord." Gen 4:26
