Worship, conflict, death, birth, sadness, happiness, and betrayal all happen in this chapter AND happen in life. In the midst we read, "Also God said to him: "I am God Almighty..." Gen 35:11
We can get hung up on the details and darkness surrounding us or we can worship. For He alone is Almighty God and worthy to be worshiped. Jesus said "...for He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good and sends rain on the just and on the unjust."(Matt 5:45). There's no way to avoid hard things in life, but we can choose to worship.
Can you worship and glorify God when a child is born? What about when death comes knocking? How about at sweet times with family & friends? How about when when terminal sickness hits to yourself or loved ones?
Some moments are encouraging, others are difficult. But there is no goal that will ever be more important than to glorify God. We can do that on this day. We can enjoy Him today. No matter what. Will you choose to worship? Today is the day. It doesn't matter what happened yesterday or what will happen tomorrow. Today is the day to worship!
