You ready for this? Consider what's happening here. Abraham's wife has just died. They're living in land which the culture opposes the Lord. Abraham can't go back to his homeland and now he's trying to bless his son for his next season in life. It's a difficult situation but the Lord shows thru.
1-God sustains Abraham's faith. "But Abraham said to him, "...The Lord God of heaven, who took me from my father's house... spoke to me and swore to me, saying, 'To your descendants I give this land..." Gen 24:6-7
2-God uses Abraham's faith to influence others to pray and worship Him. "Then he said, "O Lord God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham." Gen 24:12. "Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the Lord." Gen 24:26
3- God provides in an improbable situation. "Then they called Rebekah and said to her, "Will you go with this man?" And she said, "I will go."" Gen 24:58
This happens as we pursue Jesus. Jesus says as we put His kingdom and righteousness first He'll take care of the rest (Matt 6:33). Trusting and leaning on the Lord influences others and His provision show thru in our lives.
