I love the servant’s prayer. He is bold enough to come to the Lord to ask for help and ask specifically.

“Then he said, “O LORD God of my master Abraham, please give me success this day, and show kindness to my master Abraham. Behold, here I stand by the well of water, and the daughters of the men of the city are coming out to draw water. Now let it be that the young woman to whom I say, ‘Please let down your pitcher that I may drink,’ and she says, ‘Drink, and I will also give your camels a drink’— let her be the one You have appointed for Your servant Isaac. And by this I will know that You have shown kindness to my master.”” Genesis 24:12-14

And before he could finish it came to pass, Rebekah comes out and the prayer that was specific is answered the Lord. How much more can we come boldly to the throne of grace as sons and daughters of God?

“Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16

Not that we have done anything to deserve such an honor, but it was made possible we find out a couple Scriptures before this in Hebrews, “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession.” Hebrews 4:14

Not only did the servant pray, but he also worshiped when that prayer was answered, “Then the man bowed down his head and worshiped the LORD.” Genesis 24:26.

Father, forgive me for not always being bold in my prayers, for not believing that you answer my prayers, for me not recognizing that you have answered them, and for me not worshiping when you do. In Jesus name Amen.

Let’s pray, let’s watch as the Father answers them, and let’s worship when He does. Pray, believe, worship! Let’s do it!
