“Here I am”, Abraham said multiple times, willing to give it all in obedience to the Lord. We have been each created for His purpose and plans. Even when it’s difficult or you don’t know how circumstances will turn out, are you will to say, “Here I am”?

There is so much grace from the Lord, as He asks something of Abraham He reminds him, “By Myself I have sworn, says the LORD, because you have done this thing, and have not withheld your son, your only son — blessing I will bless you, and multiplying I will multiply your descendants as the stars of the heaven and as the sand which is on the seashore; and your descendants shall possess the gate of their enemies. In your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed, because you have obeyed My voice.”” Genesis 22:16-18

This isn’t the first time the Lord has said that to Abraham. In Genesis 12 the Lord tells him to go and tell him he will be blessed. Right after Abraham hears about Lot and Sodom and Gomorrah in Genesis 15 the Lord reminds him of the promise, and again in Genesis 17 when Abraham is asked again something difficult to do. Remember, the walk of faith isn’t easy, but look to the Father to remind of you of His promises in the difficulty of life. Remembering His promises makes it easier to say, “Here I am”, when we are asked to take steps of faith.

Abraham was counted as righteous because of his faith in the Lord. Don’t miss this key identifier in this chapter of Abraham’s belief in the goodness of God. Before he went up that mountain look at what he says, “And Abraham said to his young men, “Stay here with the donkey; the lad and I will go yonder and worship, and we will come back to you.”” Genesis 22:5

Notice, “WE WILL come back to you”. Do you believe the Lord will come through in your situation? Are you willing to give it all? Let’s be a people that says, “Here I am”. WE WILL see His goodness when we give it all.
