The Lord speaks...

Abraham repeats an earlier mistake when traveling to a new land. He tells a king Sarah is his sister (which is true, but not the whole truth v12). We find out the Lord is speaking in others’ lives as well.

"But Abimelech had not come near her; and he said, "Lord, will You slay a righteous nation also? Did he not say to me, 'She is my sister'? And she, even she herself said, 'He is my brother.' In the integrity of my heart and innocence of my hands I have done this." And God said to him in a dream, "Yes, I know that you did this in the integrity of your heart. For I also withheld you from sinning against Me; therefore I did not let you touch her." Gen 20:4-6

The Lord doesn't contest when Abimelech says the nation was righteous and He kept the king from sinning against Him. There seems to be an established relationship between the two.

The Lord is speaking to many people in many places. Even if a person may not look like us, live the way we do, or even be culturally different doesn't mean He isn't speaking to them. Let's be a conforming voice in others’ lives as we share of His goodness, grace, and mercy.
