Genesis 1 is a bird's eye view of creation while Genesis 2 is a zoomed in view of the creation of man.

During the Babylonian captivity the Hebrew language changed. The Greek language became more common. So, the Septuagint (1st 5 books of the OT) was translated using the Koine Greek in the 2nd century BC.

While translating the council did something significant when translating this verse, "Then the Lord God formed man of dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living being." Genesis 2:7

The word "breath" is the same Greek word of the NT scripture, "And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit." John 20:22

As the Father breathed life into Adam, Jesus breathes life into His disciples. We are given new spiritual life thru Jesus. Once being spiritually dead Jesus gives spiritual life.

The breath of God GIVES life. Gen 2:7

The breath of Jesus GIVES spiritual life. John 20:22

The breath of God's Spirit and Word GIVES fresh life to us each day. 2 Tim. 3:16

As we read, pray, and spend time with Jesus we are given new life each day!
