Some believe Melchizedek is a picture of Jesus in the Bible others believe this is a Christophany (appearance of Jesus). Either way there's something important for each of us to see.

"Then Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; he was the priest of God Most High. And he blessed him and said: "Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth;" Gen 14:18-19

Abram had just rescued Lot. Now the king of Sodom (he was evil) came to make a deal with Abram, but right in the middle Melchizedek appears. He does two things: (1) brings bread and wine, (2) reminds Abram he is blessed by the Lord.

There's no better advice one can give or get than to be reminded of the Lord's blessed presence and to commune with Him. This is what Melchizedek was doing in the middle of a decision Abram faced. Recognizing Jesus' presence is always the best before making decisions. Before moving forward in that decision, you need to make why not have communion with the Lord? Why not just rest in His presence? If we could all do this our decisions would be more spirit lead and fruitful. Go to Him, He gives us wisdom when we ask (James 1:5).
