"Abram was very rich in livestock, in silver, and in gold. Lot also, who went with Abram, had flocks and herds and tents. Now the land wasn't able to support them, that they might dwell together, for their possessions were so great that they could not dwell together." Gen 13:2,5-6
When the Lord called Abram He said, "Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family." (Gen 12:1). Lot was family yet Abram took him anyway. Now the land wasn't able to support both families. So they split ways and the Lord says, "Lift your eyes now and look from the place where you are northward, southward, eastward, and westward; for all the land which you see I give to you and your descendants forever. And I will make your descendants as the dust of the earth; so that if a man could number the dust of the earth, then your descendants also could be numbered." Gen 13:14-17
As soon as Abram was in complete obedience God's promise was activated. Nothing was holding back the blessing of the Lord. Are there things holding back the Lord's blessings? Pray, seek the Lord, check your heart. I pray His blessings flow!
