Let's remember!
"Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."" Gen 12:1-3
Abraham's faith was strong. His faith led him away from comfort. He wasn't just moving to NY from NC. He was moving to a foreign land and potential dangers.
Shortly after hearing those promises Abraham lies about Sarah. He tells the Pharaoh she’s, his sister. Abraham had forgotten the promises of God. This led to poor decisions. As we remember God's promises it leads to good decisions. Here's some promises to remember today.
God promised:
-salvation to all who believe in His Son Rom 1:16-17
-all things will work out for good for His children Rom 8:28
-comfort in our trials 2 Cor 1:3-4
-new life in Christ 2 Cor 5:17
-every spiritual blessing in Christ Eph 1:3
-to finish the work, He started in us Phil 1:6
-peace when we pray Phil 4:6-7
-to supply our needs Matt 6:33
-To Know Jesus. To Live on Mission.
