Noah's ark and the Tower of Babel are shared as kids stories but there is a connection between the ark and the tower and deeper things to understand.
"They said to one another, "Come, let us make bricks and burn them thoroughly." And they used brick for stone, and they used tar for mortar. They said, "Come, let us build for ourselves a city, and a tower whose top will reach into heaven, and let us make for ourselves a name, otherwise we will be scattered abroad over the face of the whole earth."" Gen 11:3-4
Moses' mother used the same tar used for the tower. It waterproofed the tower they were creating. They wanted to prevent another flood. They didn't believe God would keep His promise.
We may not like to say this so strongly, but the truth is not trusting the Lord is rebellion. When Saul didn't completely obey the Lord Solomon stated, "For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, And stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry..." 1 Sam 15:23
Faith is trust. The Lord is calling us to trust Him. To be obedient to His leadership. The choice is ours. What's the Lord leading you to trust Him for today? Let's be people of faith. Let's trust the Lord in all things!
