This one’s a tough one. At least I think so. But it’s so rewarding. Paul has been the example of this throughout the whole letter.

What’s your first reaction when you see someone in the church stumbling or wallowing around in sinful, hurtful behavior?

We read, “Brethren, even if anyone is caught in any trespass, you who are spiritual, restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; each one looking to yourself, so that you too will not be tempted. Bear one another’s burdens, and thereby fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:1-2

Restore! Is restoration your first priority? Or do we find ourselves throwing shade at our brothers and sisters. We can find ourselves trying to figure out why a person did or didn’t do something instead of having the heart of restoration for one another.

What about when we make poor decisions ourselves? Do we want others to help in restoring us as well? Let’s be the church, let’s be like Jesus. Pray for each other. Be willing to break bread with one another and let’s encourage one another towards walking into closer intimacy with Jesus. (Hebrews 12:1-3)
