I enjoy the seasons in NC. Even though I like warmer weather i appreciate the change of seasons.
"This Ezra went up from Babylon, and he was a scribe skilled in the law of Moses, which the Lord God of Israel had given; and the king granted him all he requested because the hand of the Lord his God was upon him. He came to Jerusalem in the fifth month, which was in the seventh year of the king." Ez 7:6, 8
Ezra is part of the 2nd wave of exiles returning to Jerusalem. This is about 60yrs after the 1st exiles returned. This seems like a long time between. Ezra is thought of as a "2nd Moses" because of his understanding of the Lord. What a long time between the exiles return.
Maybe, you're in a season you're ready to see come to an end. Maybe, your winter is here and you are ready for spring. Remember, it's in the winter where roots grow deep. There's life in every season. The Lord is at work in every season.
We see the Lord's masterful work with Israel and let me tell you He is mighty at work in us too. Even you getting these devos, someone praying and encouraging you in the Lord is His work. Let the history of Israel remind you the Lord is at work always regardless of your current season. Be encouraged!
