Exodus is about Moses, Israel, & Pharaoh but it's much more about God's relation to us! It's much deeper than a record of history. It's the revelation of God to His creation.
Look what Yahweh tells Moses to speak to Israel, "Say, therefore, to the sons of Israel, 'I am the Lord, and I will bring you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians, and I will deliver you from their bondage. I will also redeem you with an outstretched arm and with great judgments. Then I will take you for My people, and I will be your God; and you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brought you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. I will bring you to the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and I will give it to you for a possession; I am the Lord.' "" Ex 6:6-8
Israel's in their infancy of understanding the character of God. They're learning who He is and what He's capable of doing. Today, the Lord is also revealing Himself to us. Are you seeking His voice? Direction? He wants for you to know Him in a deeper way.
Father, help us to be more sensitive to Your Spirit. Reveal Yourself in a deeper way. Help us to quiet the distractions so we can fully hear You. Thank You, Father!
