We don't earn. We welcome.

We continue looking at the phrase "as the Lord had commanded". 7x this phrase is repeated in this chapter, at least 19x in Exodus. As their obedience was fulfilled we read, "Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle." Ex 40:34

It's important to recognize their obedience didn't earn the presence of the Lord, it welcomed it. Their obedience proved they really did believe and love the Lord. Jesus would say to His disciples, ""If you love Me, you will keep My commandments." John 14:15

Our obedience shows our belief and love of the Father but it also welcomes His presence in our lives. Proverbs 3:5-6 talks about trusting and leaning on the Lord and when we do He shall direct our paths. Are you trusting and leaning on the Lord? What are you welcoming into your life with your actions?

May we lean upon the Lord. May we be obedient to His call. May we welcome His presence. May we be filled with the glory of the Lord. No longer is there a tabernacle or temple to fill. Today, we are filled with His glory as the church. More of you Lord, less of us. Overflow us. What a blessing, Hallelujah!
