No... I don't wanna go! I just want more...
"Then the Lord said to Moses, "Depart and go up from here, you and the people whom you have brought out of the land of Egypt, to the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, 'To your descendants I will give it.'" Ex 33:1
After the Father says go there's this dialogue between Him and Moses. Moses has experienced His presence. He's been on the mountain and he's been in the valley. Moses wants more of the Father's presence, he says, "If Your Presence does not go with us, do not bring us up from here." And finally he says, "Please, show me Your glory."" Exo 33:15, 18
What was important to Moses was the Father's presence. It didn't matter where he went he just wanted more of God. I pray we all come into the place. That our desire is for more of the presence of the Lord than anything or anyone else. Let's pray for each for each other to desire the glory of God. To be in His presence.
Father, help us to hunger for more of You. Give us strength and wisdom to turn away from the facade and to draw near to You in every area of our lives. In Your Name, AMEN!
