Smell of sweat or cinnamon buns?

The instructions for the Altar of Incense, offerings, Bronze Laver, Anointing Oil, and the incense are described here. These are practical but have spiritual implications.

"You shall put this altar in front of the veil that is near the ark of the testimony, in front of the mercy seat that is over the ark of the testimony, where I will meet with you." Ex 30:6

"...where I will meet with you." It's not knowledge, wisdom, riches, or power but the presence of the Lord that's important. His heart is to dwell w/His people. Is your heart to dwell with Him?

The smell of the anointing oil was cinnamon and cane(v22-23). Can you imagine the smell? The aroma of the presence of the Lord would have been like cinnamon rolls. People all around would have smelled the presence of the Lord.

When we sit with the Father there's an aroma of His presence versus working up a sweat in our own efforts. The sweet part of ministering is first sitting with the Lord then we take His presence with us as we go. What will you choose? The stink of working hard or the sweet smell of the Lord's presence? Sit with the Father today and let Him work in and thru you! May His aroma be upon you.
