Relationship! Everything the Lord establishes is about relationships. Read Exodus 20, it's the 10 commandments. Historical we've looked at these as rules to follow but if you read closely you'll recognize it's about relationship. The first 4 deal with our relationship with the Lord. The last 6 deal with our relationship with others.
-You shall have no other Gods before me
-You shall not make for yourselves an idol
-You shall not misuse the name of the LORD your God
-Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy
-Honor your father and your mother
-You shall not murder
-You shall not commit adultery
-You shall not steal
-You shall not give false testimony
-You shall not covet
I heard a pastor once say, "Rules without relationship leads to rebellion." If you look to the Bible as a rule book instead of a relationship book even rebellion will rise up in your heart. Let's be about our relationship with the Lord. It's in that where we choose to walk in holiness. "Moses said to the people, "Do not be afraid; for God has come in order to test you, and in order that the fear of Him may remain with you, so that you may not sin."" Ex 20:20
