Do you know what's the best and worst thing we can do?!
The children of Israel are just out of bondage from the Egypt. Now, they're fighting their first battle. They had been in bondage for 430yrs. For some bondage was all they knew. Any victory would have to be the Lord. This is a huge victory for them! What does the Lord tell them to do after victory?
"Then the Lord said to Moses, "Write this in a book as a memorial and recite it to Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the memory of Amalek from under heaven."" Ex 17:14
The Lord said He wanted them to make a memorial to remember this moment. How many times do you remember the victories the Lord has brought you thru? How many times do you remember your defeats? We can often get caught up in defeat instead of the victories. That's not the Lord.
I'm not the best at this, maybe you struggle with this as well. I get caught up in a defeated mentality as times. What if we committed to remember our victories and remind others of theirs as well. The worst thing we can do is get caught up in past defeats and remind others of theirs. Instead let's do the best thing we can do, remember the victories, forget the defeats.
