We read about the starting of the Feast of Unleavened Bread. (You can read more about this feast in Lev 23). We also read of the command to Israel to sacrifice the firstborn of beast, and to redeem the firstborn of man. God's character is on full display in the details of this chapter.

Look what happens though: "Moses took the bones of Joseph with him, for he had made the sons of Israel solemnly swear, saying, "God will surely take care of you, and you shall carry my bones from here with you."" Ex 13:19

430 years had passed since Joseph was alive. He had asked his family to promise to take his bones with them when God fulfilled His promise. And now they're doing it! Wow!

Even though God's promise wasn't fulfilled in Joseph's lifetime he didn't lose hope. He knew the Lord's promises were greater than any span of years he would live on this earth. The Bible is rich in the promises of the Lord. He's so faithful!

I'm praying for all who read this (right now) along for myself that we would trust the promises of the Lord and live our lives with the joy His promises bring. No matter what we might face today. Thank you Jesus! Maybe you could pray too?!
