The Lord does big things with small beginnings.
Exodus continues on from Genesis. There's a gap of a few hundred years, but the record of the Lord's work with Israel is continuous.
"But the sons of Israel were fruitful and increased greatly, and multiplied, and became exceedingly mighty, so that the land was filled with them." Ex 1:7
Let's not forget how this all started. The family of Jacob began with 5! Jacob, Rachel, Leah, Bilhah, & Zilphah. Now, in the future the family is so big the new Pharaoh believes they're a threat. There's fear of the Jewish people and it all began with 5... just 5!
It's amazing what big things the Lord does with just a little. Who would have ever thought the Lord could or would do so much with so little!? We even read as the Egyptian midwives feared God, He provided for them (v21) as well.
What are you thinking is too much for the Lord? Maybe it's a step of faith He's been asking you to make, and you haven't done so? Maybe it's a heart change of a friend or spouse? God is able. God is willing. Look what He did with Israel. Look what He's doing in you and me today. Let's step out. Let's trust Him. Let's depend on Him.
