The king's decree!
Death was knocking at the door for the Jewish people. Fear had swept into homes throughout all the provinces. Dread and hopelessness was all around. But the king's decree changed all that.
"In each and every province and in each and every city, wherever the king's commandment and his decree arrived, there was gladness and joy for the Jews, a feast and a holiday. And many among the peoples of the land became Jews..." Esther 8:17
Can you imagine the people who converted to Judaism? Lives were saved thru the trial of God's people. Times may have seemed like destruction was at the door but that didn't stop the king. There's a greater king. He has conquered death. He is restoring and redeeming people to live forever in His kingdom. His name is Jesus!
Remember this day that as a child of God a decree has been made (John 1:12-13). The signet seal has been put into place. May this remembrance take you from sadness to joy and from hopelessness to gladness. And may the joy and gladness you possess in Jesus lead to others being restored and redeemed.
