How will you use your favor?

The king stripped Vashti of her queen title. A decree goes out into all the land to find the next queen. This is where we meet Mordecai and Esther. Throughout the process of finding the next queen we read, "Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai who had taken her as his daughter, came to go in to the king, she did not request anything except what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the women, advised. And Esther found favor in the eyes of all who saw her." Esther 2:15

She had this same favor when she meets the king and Esther becomes queen. We also find out about an assignation attempt on the king's life. Esther relays on behalf of Mordecai the plot. There was great favor on their lives, but what's most important is what they do with it.

The same can be asked of us, "what will you do with the favor of the Lord upon your life?" Whatever position you hold, favor you have, or situation you may find yourself in do you use it for God's glory or your own? What do you do with the moments you get? Today, let's focus on advancing the kingdom of God. Let's focus on living for the glory of God.
