The Bible says, “And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
Solomon writes, “I returned and saw under the sun that— The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them all. For man also does not know his time: Like fish taken in a cruel net, Like birds caught in a snare, So the sons of men are snared in an evil time, When it falls suddenly upon them.” Ecclesiastes 9:11-12
It’s true being fast doesn’t always bring the win, being strong doesn’t always bring victory, being wise doesn’t always bring food, and bring understanding doesn’t always bring riches. However, “time and chance happen to them all” doesn’t consider the sovereignty of God.
There’s nothing that will happen today the Lord won’t use in your life. Do you realize that? You could be dealing with a crumby situation, the Lord’s using it. Controversy at work, the Lord’s using it. You could be walking in the tangible presence of God, the Lord’s using it. I forget sometimes so I preach the Gospel to myself and renew my thinking in Jesus. There’s nothing under the sun the Lord is not using for His good pleasure and His child’s well-being. Get along with the Lord and talk to Him about your day. There’s nothing He’s not using, good or bad. He has this in His hands.
