Do you remember why Solomon asked for wisdom from the Lord? “Therefore, give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?” I Kings 3:9

Solomon asked to wisdom because he wanted to serve the people well. He had a heart for people. Now, as Solomon struggles with life we can see he’s also struggling with people. “When goods increase, They increase who eat them…” (Ecclesiastes 5:11). Then he says, “Here is what I have seen: It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.” Ecclesiastes 5:18

Yes, it’s a blessing to enjoy the things the Lord has given us. Enjoy those blessings saint! But don’t forget our life is more than dreams and wealth. What we’re blessed with ables us to bless others. You’ve been gifted by God and you’re able to be a gift to others. You’ve been blessed by God and you’re able to bless others. You’ve been given life by God and you’re able to give life to others. This is your heritage: To follow Jesus and walk in His ways.
