Solomon writes, "He who observes the wind will not sow, And he who regards the clouds will not reap. As you do not know what is the way of the wind, Or how the bones grow in the womb of her who is with child, So you do not know the works of God who makes everything. In the morning sow your seed, And in the evening do not withhold your hand; For you do not know which will prosper, Either this or that, Or whether both alike will be good." Ecclesiastes 11:4-6
We can get so caught up in logistics, timing, and perfect conditions that we miss out on God-given opportunities. I'm not only talking about business or personal achievements, but the things of God, but yes those areas can certainly be included!
We are promised only today. So let's make moves for the glory of God as He leads. There is a time to pray and a time to act. We should pray as though everything depends on the Lord, and we should work as though everything depends on us.
What is the Lord asking you to do as you walk in step with His heart and leading today? We can keep watching the wind and fixating on what we can't control... or we can trust the Lord and obey.
