Are you letting the fountain of blessings continue to flow? Moses finalizes the laws given by God. We read his summary in verses 16-19. Ironically, he ends with the law of first fruits.

“that you shall take some of the first of all the produce of the ground, which you shall bring from your land that the Lord your God is giving you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where the Lord your God chooses to make His name abide.” Deuteronomy 26:2

Notice what or who else the Lord also includes in blessing, “then you shall say before the Lord your God: ‘I have removed the holy tithe from my house, and also have given them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to all Your commandments which You have commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor have I forgotten them.” Deuteronomy 26:13

The Father includes ministers, strangers, orphans, and widows in being a blessing too. He puts things in place to make sure all are taken care of and blessed. We read in earlier chapters of the Lord commanding Israel to leave food in the field for others to reap who were in need.

Even today we’re given an opportunity to give unto the Lord our first fruits and others as we are led. The question to ask ourselves is, “Do we take the opportunity to give of our first fruits and beyond?” Give thanks for the fountain of blessings has run to you. Let’s also make sure it runs through us.
