There's much to glean from this record in Daniel. Today, I noticed the first hand experience of the king.

Consider this question: What happens in the difficult moments of life? Do I worship and turn to the Lord or get bitter?

The Lord had revealed Himself to King Nebby before, but after he still chose to worship idols and himself. Another dream is given to the king and Daniel interprets it once more. The interpretation is about a difficult season ahead for the king.

(Note as you read: Daniel had the best interest of king even though he was being held captive by him.)

7 years the king was out of his mind and lost everything. ""But at the end of that period, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven and my reason returned to me, and I blessed the Most High and praised and honored Him who lives forever; For His dominion is an everlasting dominion, And His kingdom endures from generation to generation." Dan 4:34

The kings difficult season led him to worship and turn to the Lord. With each season, difficult or not, we have the opportunity to turn to the Lord. I don't always do this, what about you?

Father, help us to turn to You no matter our season and worship You always. In Jesus name, Amen!
