Don’t fight the wrong battle. Sometimes we live our whole lives fighting the wrong enemy and doing battle that has already been won.

“And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.” Colossians 2:13-15

Thoughts of unworthiness and condemnation often are found captivating the believer’s mind. We take people to court in our minds judging their actions instead of giving grace that has been offered to you by Christ, Himself. Maybe, this doesn’t describe you… then move on :)… but I can say at times this is where I can find myself. And guess what, this is the wrong battle. It literally says our trespasses are gone, we have new life in Christ, the requirements have been wiped out, and principalities have been disarmed and nailed to the cross. Man, Jesus paid it all… He gave it all…. So, we wouldn’t fight the wrong battles. Don’t let the enemy steal the truth of your salvation and don’t be found having the same traits as the accuser of the brethren when dealing with those around you.

“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” Colossians 2:6-7
