From who? Do what? There is a great blessing offered to those in Christ. Jesus is enough really… but wow… thanks!

“To the saints and faithful brethren in Christ who are in Colosse: Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Colossians 1:2

Grace and peace are mentioned at the beginning of several letters Paul wrote. No matter where you are from or season of life you might find yourself “grace and peace” are extended to you. And look who it’s from, “from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ”. It doesn’t matter the place you choose to worship the Lord; it doesn’t matter what season of life you are in; it doesn’t matter where you live the offer of grace and peace are extended to you by the Father and the Son.

Beyond buildings and borders, in the middle of trial and tribulation the offer has been made and pre-purchased by the blood of Christ. Read through chapter 1 of Colossians and praise God for what the Father gave, what Jesus bought, and what Holy Spirit does.

“And He is the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.” Colossians 1:18

He was the firstborn reigning over death. What greater thing do we give our grace and peace away considering. If death has been defeated what else is left? Take the offer, live in grace and peace given by God.
